LDLC White, CG qualify for EU Minor

LDLC White and Nordic up-and-comers from CG have qualified for PGL's European Minor Championship, which will take place From January 29-31 in Bucharest, Romania.

The first out of four open qualifiers for the European Minor has been played out today, with teams such as HellRaisers, PENTA, LDLC.White, London Conspiracy and more battling it out for two spots at the main event.

PENTA and London Conspiracy both went out quite early in the best-of-one bracket, in round of 64 and round of 16, respectively.

Meanwhile, the other two aforementioned teams got all the way up to the best-of-three semi-final, the last stage of the qualifier.

to1nou's LDLC White through to the $50,000 European minor

LDLC White and Pulse met in a domestic match-up, which the former had little to no trouble taking home, only allowing to let go of nine rounds in total over two maps.

On the other side, a similar feat was expected from HellRaisers, who were using Patrik "⁠Zero⁠" Žúdel instead of Andreas "⁠znajder⁠" Lindberg, their usual choice of a stand-in.

Surprisingly, a team of Swedish and Danish up-and-comers called CG prevailed following a three-map series, as they snatched de_dust2 narrowly and de_overpass one-sidedly from the favourites.

There are three more qualifiers left to be played out, with the second and third already underway. Teams that went out in the late stages of the first qualifier, including HellRaisers, still have a chance to go through from the fourth qualifier, which will kick off tomorrow.
